The Fame Finale - The Hipster Turf.
This is the study model, made by me, Catherine, Cynthia and Marcela. 4 of us are Indonesian students currently pursuing our degree in Taylor's university.
From the study model and some developments, and after 2 months of brainstorming and thinking everything through for my artist. I ended up with "The Hipster Turf" as my final design.
Made this design specially for Zach as a street artist, painter and traveller. The spaces will be shown down below.
1. Gallery and workshop, hanging arts with flying effect, workshop with adjustable easel and aquatint printing station (a method started on 1970s to make copies of arts).
2. Lounge and dining, with kitchen, coffee machine, library and dining table.
3. Bedroom with movable storage.
Art Exploration - Technology.
This is my art exploration, the further research and interpretation of Ernest Zach.
On the right, is my A3 material exploration board which contains material exploration of various recycled stuffs, such as; papers (80 gsm, 200 gsm, recycled 30 gsm) which is bended and folded into shape, electrical wires which is rolled and CD, plastic, toys, broken into pieces and sticked on the board.
On the left, is my final art board of 4 A4 board, connected with stories. It is about technology which was made out of love (pink in color) to the earth and society, to connect and build one another and finally getting dark. With wrong motivations and technology developer, people are getting self centred and less sociable. They tend to think about themselves and dragging this world into a bad environment.
Art Trail - Ernest Zacharevic.
As you guys know the famous art at Penang streets, this assignment I have to drill more about him and to know more about him. Yes, he is Ernest Zacharevic, you guys might have not heard him but he himself is a street artist that travels around the world. You guys may look through his blog at ernestzacharevic.com, intresting yet simple stuffs. I'll not jot down everything here but he's a very observant street artist.
That's it, thank you for reading guys!
A3 Assignments pt. 1: Rendering and Orthographic Projection.
As you see rendering techniques in my previous post, you'll see how it works. This is the very first assignment of design comm class.
And the other one below is an essential technique for 2D drawing.
You can refer these to previous posts :) Thank you for viewing!

ORTHOGRAPHIC PROJECTION 2D DRAWING
Live Drawing.
We went to Tioman last week and it was fun! One of the task assigned for us is to live draw around the island. As people drawing the part of an island I'll just draw this small wave. I enjoyed the wave so much, especially on the last day because the sky was clear. It was around 3 PM when I draw this and ya.
Although I don't really like the outcome of the drawing but Tioman was fun.
One Point Perspective.
One point perspective is a view where you can see everything going to 1 vanishing point. Indicating the lines and points is the key to draw the design. There are;
For this week's task we have to determine the points and lines for 5 different pictures.
GL (ground line)
HL (horizon line)
VP (vanishing point)
Plan.
We learned about plan last week. Plan is a drawing where you draw something from the top view of it and using architectural symbol describing all the things we wanted to be there. Drawing plan is not that hard, but you need to be very detail and careful. It is fun and irritating on the same time. As a visual diary task (every week), we were asked to draw plan from the space given, and these are my outcome.

Architecturcal Symbols.
Symbols, as we see everyday, is something that has been used throughout centuries. It simplifies something complicated, and explains something indescribable. Architecture also has it own symbol for materials such as glass, wood, cement, even for items like window. These are architectural symbol for several types of windows.
Orthographic Projection.
The third topic at our lecture last Tuesday was orthographic projection. It was really interesting. Basically it is about projecting something from 3D into 2D from different angles, sounds cool. This is my submission as our visual diary task for orthographic projection.
1ST OBJECT: CONE
2ND OBJECT: CYLINDER
Tonal Value (Rendering).
Last Tuesday we learnt about "rendering", which means shading with different techniques. There are basically 4 of them and we were asked to make tonal value chart.
It looks like this.
Sketch Book Cover.
Hi, I'm Hem! This is my blog and I will be writing my interior architecture course tasks, specifically for design communication subject.
(yes, this is a school task)
As the first task of design communication class, this is my decorated cover for B5 sketch book. I finished it while waiting for class last friday. I draw "a crowned nerd deer" as the cover, no reason why. Anyway if you see it clearly, there are some damaged part of the cover. That part was wet because the bottle in my bag didn't closed well, and now my sketch book looks wavy.
.
.
I won't buy another sketch book though.
(yep, I managed to type a paragraph)

Thank you for reading, and this is the cover!
